The webinar, which will take place on 27 October 2020, is part of a series on the future of higher education organized by the IAU and aimed at university faculty, healthcare professionals and policymakers. Registration is now open.

Training healthcare professionals today

The health crisis caused by COVID-19 has forced us to rethink our economic and health system to make it more sustainable and better adapted to the challenges of the 2030 Agenda. Higher education institutions, knowledge generators and trainers of healthcare professionals have a fundamental role to play.

What are the challenges and changes facing these institutions in offering healthcare professionals adequate training given the current situation? To answer this and other questions, the SDG 3 cluster will bring together experts from all the continents to share opinions and strategies seeking to foster sustainable development in health and well-being in higher education.

IAU Global Cluster on HESD, SDG 3 cluster

The UOC has been leading the cluster focusing on SDG 3, good health and well-being, in higher education and research since 2018, when it was selected by the IAU as SDG 3 Champion. Current member institutions are: Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), Universidad de Caldas (Colombia), Makerere University (Uganda), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), Western Sydney University (Australia), University College Dublin (Ireland) and the UOC.
