The School of Public Health Higher Degrees Research and Ethics Committee (HDREC) would like to inform you that with effect from 1st October 2020 we will be transitioning to the National Research Information Management System (NRIMS). This is an online platform created by UNCST with the support of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trial Partnerships (EDCTP). This platform will support regulatory oversight and management of all research carried out in Uganda.
HDREC will be fully operating through the NRIMS platform by the 31st of December 2020. This implies that all protocol submissions, reviews and approvals will be done online. This therefore is to inform you that every Principal Investigator will still be required to submit one set of hard copies of all the study documents upon approval of study.
