Biography

Maxentia Namujumbi Walusimbi is the Manager of Graduate Programs in the Dean’s Office at the Makerere University School of Public Health. She brings nearly two decades of experience in academic program management, with a strong focus on supporting student success and institutional efficiency.
In her current role, Maxentia manages and tracks the progress of over 600 graduate students across nine programs, ensuring timely completion through strategic guidance, personalized support, and close collaboration with faculty, examiners, and university management. Since assuming this role in May 2022, she has overseen three consecutive graduation cycles with significant improvements in on-time graduation rates, addressing longstanding challenges in program completion. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA-Management) from Ndejje University, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA-Management) from Nkumba University, and a Certificate in the Management of Development Organisations from the Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Canada. Maxentia is deeply committed to fostering student success, building collaborative relationships, and strengthening systems that enhance the quality and effectiveness of graduate training at MakSPH.
