Nabajja Hawah is a Biostatistician and Research Associate in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH). She holds a Master’s degree in Biostatistics and a Bachelor’s degree in B.Statistics from Makerere University. With over four years of professional experience, she has contributed to impactful public health research in collaboration with the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), Makerere University Business School, and The AIDS Support Organization (TASO).
Her expertise spans epidemiology, statistical modeling, and machine learning applications in public health, with a focus on designing, managing, and analyzing health research. She applies advanced statistical and predictive modeling approaches to address pressing health challenges in Uganda and beyond. Nabajja is currently managing two collaborative projects: the Research Network for Design and Evaluation of Adolescent Health Interventions and Policies in Sub-Saharan Africa (DASH Project) and the ARISE-NUTRINT Project. Both initiatives focus on strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes among adolescents and young adults across Africa.
