25 Years Anniversary MPH Training Celebrations

From 14th-16th October 2019, Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) will be joined by more than 400 participants and delegates from local, regional and global institutions from the public and private sectors to celebrate 25 years of Public Health Training at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH).

The theme of the celebrations is; ‘‘Twenty-Five Years of Public Health Training in Africa: Looking Back and Forward to Accelerate the Contribution of Schools of Public Health towards Universal Health Coverage in Africa’’

The three days activities will include; the ASPHA (Association of Schools of Public Health in Africa) conference and AGM, a Public Health Camp, a TV Talk-show, the annual MakSPH-MPH alumni AGM, and a documentary about MPH through the 25 years. The celebrations will also be marked by selected key-note presentations from MakSPH staff, MoH, CDC, and WHO. There will be a segment for the presentation of awards to outstanding Institutions and individuals that have been a cornerstone in advancing public health and public health training nationally and globally.
