Biography
Ms. Sharifa Kiranda is the Grants Assistant at Makerere University School of Public Health, where she supports the effective management of the School’s research portfolio. She plays a key role in maintaining the grants database, identifying and sharing funding opportunities, processing institutional support letters, and providing coordination for the School’s Seed Grants Programme. Her responsibilities span both pre- and post-award activities, contributing to strengthened grants administration and research support systems at MakSPH.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and has earned a Young Leaders Forum Certificate and an E-SMAC G11 Grants Administration & Management Workshop Certificate. Sharifa has also participated in the Eastern African Research and Innovation Management Association (EARIMA) Conference and is currently pursuing the Good Financial Grant Practice (GFGP) certification. She is an ongoing APHRC Fellow, advancing her skills in research administration and regional collaboration.
