Success Stories
I noted that having one on one conversations with the students really helped a great deal as some of their concerns were issues that could be resolved with encouragement and experience sharing. This is such a good opportunity to give back to the younger generation of public health professionals.
Mentor
Well, I was so passionate about grant writing skills and my mentors helped me to know more about grants writing. I with my mentor developed an action plan to follow so that I can be in position to write winning grants. Thank you so much for this great opportunity
Mentee
This mentorship idea has been a wonderful and carefully thoughtful idea that supported and facilitated a renewed understanding of what I can achieve. The session was insightfully engaging and friendly, with experiences being shared that gave me a new perspective on a number of things that can be achieved in life. Being a pilot, I believe it can be refined and thereafter scaled up so that all students can benefit from it.
Mentee
The overall mentorship program is an interesting and eye opening one. I had chance to have z detailed discussion with my desired mentor, who freely. Through his experience and guidance that he shared, I'm very optimistic that I'm on the right career trajectory. The fact that he listened to what my passion was/is, offered to support in his capacity, was outstanding for me. I'm so grateful to the team behind this initiative, looking forward to many more engagements with my mentor and of course great achievements.
