Request for Expression of Interest for Translation and Interpretation services for the PERSUADE project

Makerere University School of Public Health has received funding from the Global Fund to implement the Partnership to Enhance Analytical Capacity and Data Use project in thirteen countries in Africa namely: Angola, DRC, Eswatini, Eritrea, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The partnership has Anglophone, Francophone and Lusophone nations. The project will run for 3 years starting 2021.

We are therefore seeking a service provider(s) implement the task below:

  1. Interpretation during project meetings (English to French and vice versa)
  2. Interpretation during project meetings (English to Portuguese and vice versa)
  3. Translation of documents such as project reports, tools, emails (English to French and vice versa)
  4. Translation of documents such as project reports, tools, emails (English to Portuguese and vice versa)

The sought service provider should:

  1. Possess relevant accredited training the French/Portuguese
  2. Have at least 5 years’ experience doing translation and interpretation for reputable organizations 
  3. Be professional and reliable
  4. Be able to work well with multi-cultural teams
