This is to cordially invite you to an online dissemination event for the research study titled: Exploring Children’s Understanding Of COVID-19 and its Preventive Strategies in Uganda scheduled for Thursday 26th November 2020 between 10am-11:00am.

This research was conducted between August to September among 372 randomly sampled children aged 10 to 13 years from 18 randomly selected villages from Mparo and Bujumbura Divisions in Hoima Municipality.

As a key stakeholder, you are cordially invited to attend this dissemination event which will be graced by several stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Local Government Officials, university staff and students, members of the civil society and the general public. CONTEXT:

In response to the urgent need to develop contextual evidence-based interventions to address the COVID-19 challenge, the Government of Uganda through the Makerere University Research and Innovations fund provided funding to accrue evidence for COVID 19 prevention.

This study sought to explore the children’s understanding of COVID-19 and its preventative strategies in Uganda to contribute to efforts of the ongoing COVID-19 risk-communication among children.
