Elizabeth Nambi is currently the Finance Manager of Makerere University School of Public Health and she heads the School Finance Management Unit. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting from Makerere University, A Masters of Business Administration in Finance; she is a Fellow for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Society for Research Administrators International (SRAI).
She has more than 20 years experience in areas of accounting, financial management, grants management, Procurement management, Stores management and Leadership. She is a member on several committees of the School and she has been very influential in financial planning and financial advisory roles. To date she manages an annual grant portfolio of $30,000,000 from over 200 donor funded grants. She participates in helping to recruit and nurturing new Accountants and has participated in capacity building of partners, colleagues, staff and students as far as Finance & Grants management is concerned.
Elizabeth has built up excellent relationship in Finance Administration and management not only within the School but also internationally with funders. She has won several awards including four from Makerere University School of Public Health Administrator’s award for due diligence in Administration and distinguished service awards.
