Dr Amongin is a health scientist with passion for improving: women, newborns, children, and adolescents’ health outcomes. Dinah has over 15 years’ experience in Reproductive Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) capacity building/enhancement of health workers (both pre- and in-service categories), research, clinical care, programming and policy formulation. With specialization in Public Health and Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr Amongin directly supports policy generation and dissemination at the Ministry of Health Uganda, teaching and mentoring the next RMNCAH scientists, and conducting research to generate evidence-based interventions for common public health concerns.
Her career goal is to contribute to the generation and implementation of cost-effective evidence-based interventions that address sub-Sahara Africa’s priority public health challenges.
