Dr. Edward Buzigi

Dr. Edward Buzigi is a multifaceted professional with expertise in nutrition epidemiology, food security, clinical practice, and health education. As a lecturer at the Department of Community Health & Behavioural Sciences at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), Edward's commitment to advancing public health knowledge is evident.

Edward's research interests and scholarly contributions span various critical areas, including maternal, child, and adolescent nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, food systems, food security, and nutrition in humanitarian settings. His academic journey reflects his dedication to advancing knowledge in these fields:

◉ Post-doctoral fellowship in the maternal child nutrition group at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa (2022-2023).
◉ PhD in Human Nutrition from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa (2021).
◉ Master of Science in Food Security Policy & Management from University College Cork, Republic of Ireland (2020).
◉ Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from Makerere University, Uganda (2018).
◉ Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (2014).
