Dr. Elizeus Rutebemberwa

Elizeus Rutebemberwa, is a Professor in the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management. He holds degrees MBChB and MPH from Makerere University, and PhD from Karolinska Institutet and Makerere University. Before joining the School of Public Health, he worked as Hospital Director and District Health Manager in Kamuli District, Eastern Uganda. He has been a field coordinator for the Masters of Public Health, visiting lecturer to the Kenya and Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training among others.

His research interests are related to health systems and policy implementation challenges, using Health in collecting data on risk factors of non-communicable diseases, access to health care for febrile children and the interface between zoonotic diseases and health systems, Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Systems Policy and Management, and Public Health Ethics.
