Dr. Kagaayi is a Senior Lecturer at the Makerere University School of Public Health and an epidemiologist with over 20 years of experience in Epidemiological research. His research work has been published in Leading Journals including PubMed, UK Scientific Journal as well as the JHU Public Health Journal.
He holds an Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBchB) from Makerere University; MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA; and a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, with a focus on Health services Research including economic evaluation, from Case Western Reserve University, USA.
His research interests include experimental and implementation sciences studies to evaluate the impact of interventions on HIV incidence, and studies to optimize scale-up of HIV treatment and prevention interventions. He also designed tools to predict individual risk of HIV infection.
