Dr. S.P. Sebina Kibira

A Senior Lecturer in public health focusing on reproductive health, mixed methods research methodology, behavioural change communication, and social determinants of health, among other areas.  He is social and population scientist holding a PhD in international health from the University of Bergen, Norway; a Master of Science in population and reproductive health; and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences [1st class], from Makerere University, Uganda. He is demographic and health surveys (DHS) program fellow, a certified project management professional (PMD Pro) from APMG international, and a certified international professional trainer for Atlas.ti. Dr. Kibira serves on several University committees including the Research and Ethics Committee, and chairs the ICT & Public Relations committee at MakSPH. He has extensive experience in implementing National surveys, Mixed methods research studies and Independent qualitative research studies. His key publications focus on: Family planning, Safe male circumcision, Schistosomiasis, Understanding health behavior, among others.
