Ms. Winnifred Kansiime Kimara is Junior Research Associate in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health Sciences at Makerere University School of Public Health. She has a Bachelor of Environmental Health Sciences degree from Makerere University; a Masters in Environmental Engineering from Xiangtan University. Her fields of specialty and research interests include Environmental Epidemiology, Infection Prevention and Control, Neonatal and Maternal health. She has peer reviewed publications with more underway. She is the Co-Principal Investigator of safety of swimming pools in Uganda study, Coordinator of Johns Hopkins NeMo study in Uganda and PEER- Mhealth and environmental cues on Hand
Hygiene Practice among Health Workers. In addition, Ms. Winnifred serves is a National Coordinator of International Society for Environmental Epidemiology. She is a former beneficiary of the China Scholarship Council award.
