The Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health invites you to the Global Conversation on Sustainable Health. This is a space where new ideas, innovative solutions and visions for sustainable health will be shared and discussed.

The topic of this conversation is: Information sharing and public participation for sustainable health.

Panelists

Bridget Msolomba Malewezi –  Dr Bridget Msolomba Malewezi is a medical doctor, public health practitioner, motivational speaker, activist & health columnist. A graduate of College of Medicine, University of Malawi & Emory University, Atlanta USA where she did a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Global Health. She was a 2021 Harvard LEAD Fellow in the Department of Global Health  & Population at Harvard T.H Chan School & Harvard Global Health Institute. She is currently the Country Director for mothers2mothers in Malawi an African organisation that focuses on primary health care through peer mentor model of women across various 10 Sub-Saharan countries.

Johan von Schreeb – Professor in Global Disaster Medicine at the Department of Global Public Health. I am the director for the Centre for Health Crises and lead the Centre for Research on Health Care in Disasters. The centre is a WHO collaborative centre that provides training in global disaster medicine and trauma care in austere settings, conducts research and supports policy work within the field.

Wilson Akiiki Kaija – Communications Specialist with more than 18 years of hands-on experience as a journalist, editor, media trainer and researcher. He has spent a bigger part of the last ten years in media development work; delivering on-site and off-site journalism training across Uganda. Convinced that good radio is made in the field, his approach to training is hands-on, do-it-yourself. The focus has always been on research, content production and packaging, local radio programming, and defining and engaging audience(s) among others.

Dr. Olivia Biermann – Health policy and systems researcher, and knowledge translation professional.
