- Harriet’s background is Food Science and Nutrition and holds a Masters of Public Health Nutrition from Makerere University School of Public health (MAKSPH)
- She is currently working as a project coordinator for the TREAT project and Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health (BEP) at MaKSPH.
- Harriet's interest is Child health and health systems that support child health. She has done most of her research in the field of child nutrition and health and has a keen interest in child mental health.
- Her research is funded by the TREAT Child Alcohol Use disorders project. A five-year project that aims at exploring the magnitude of C-AUD and health systems that support or impede the management of alcohol-induced disorders amongst children in Mbale district.
