Public Health in Complex Emergency (PHCE) short course

The academic registrar Makerere University invites applications for a one-week training programme in Public Health in Complex Emergency (PHCE) short course that will take place on 4th-9th November, 2019.

The goal of the course is to enhance the capacity of humanitarian assistance workers and their organisations to respond to health needs of refugees and displaced persons affected by these emergencies.

With a curriculum developed by field staff from humanitarian, academia and international organisations, participants are exposed to enriching concepts like weapons and trauma, the context of emergencies, epidemiology, security, communicable diseases control, psychology issues, environmental health and reproductive health violence.

Our Programme is crafted for NGO/PVO, UN, Ministry of Health staff, Health Coordinators, Programme Managers, Medical Officers and District Health Officers.
