Ola Olorun, (University of Ibadan), Dr. Allysha Maragh-Bass, (FHI 360), Amandari Kanagaratnam, Jean Christophe Fotso, (Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)’s School of Public Health), Rahima Dosani (USAID), and Sarah Brittingham, (FHI 360) examine how decolonization, localization, and diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) intersect and serve as foundations for effecting change.
The purpose of this white paper is to spark discussion, raise awareness, and identify action steps to address historic power imbalances that continue to shape the field of global health and ‘development’ for actors in both the ‘Global North and South.’
