Join Our Team: Research Opportunities in ART Toxicities and Surveillance

Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) is leading an important evaluation on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) toxicities and surveillance practices in Uganda. This project provides an exceptional opportunity for qualified and motivated individuals to contribute to impactful research aimed at improving healthcare delivery.

We are currently recruiting for several short-term positions:

  1. Biostatistician (1 Position): Responsible for quantitative data analysis, statistical modeling, and report preparation. Requires a Master’s in Biostatistics or a related field and proficiency in software like Stata, R, or SAS.
  2. Qualitative Data Analyst (1 Position): Focused on qualitative data collection, transcription, and analysis using software such as NVivo or Atlas.ti. A Master’s in Social Sciences or Public Health with qualitative research experience is required.
  3. Quantitative Research Assistants (10 Positions): Will assist in data collection and validation, particularly using UgandaEMR or HIV treatment records. A diploma or bachelor’s in Clinical Sciences, Public Health, or related fields is required.
  4. Qualitative Research Assistants (5 Positions): Assist with interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative data collection tasks. A degree in Humanities or Social Sciences with experience in qualitative methods is needed.
  5. Data Officer (1 Position): Oversee data management processes, including designing tools and preliminary analysis. A degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields is required.
